PANCREATIC CANCER

Pancreatic Cancer is the third leading cause of cancer death in Canada and most people who develop pancreatic cancer do so without any known risk factors. Often, pancreatic cancer grows silently for months before it is discovered and early symptoms can be absent or quite subtle. As a result, 50% of those will die within 4 months of diagnosis. Pancreatic cancer is the only one of the top ten cancers with a five year survival rate less than 10%.
